I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Tech with a specialization in learning sciences and technologies. I earned my PhD in the Learning Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago with a specialization in geospatial analysis and visualization. Prior to joining the faculty at GT, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon and the Tidal Lab at Northwestern.
My research interests include human-data interaction, embodiment, public engagement with science and scientific data, citizen science, and free-choice learning. I advise students in the MS and PhD programs in human-computer interaction (HCI) and human-centered computing (HCC) and I teach educational technologies and learning research design.
